The Safety Net Project is a team of hard working, passionate, and dedicated professionals. We are on the front lines of the fight against poverty, unchecked gentrification and unaffordable housing. Our work culture is creative, collaborative, and supportive. We are committed to creating a work place where people want to join then stay.
Benefits Advocate (Safety Net Project)
SNP’s Benefits Advocates work directly with households facing issues with their Public Assistance (PA), SNAP, or housing subsidies through advocacy with City agencies and representation at administrative fair hearings.
Supervising Housing Attorney (Safety Net Project)
We are seeking applicants for the Supervising Housing Attorney position, to provide supervision and support to SNP's Staff Attorneys and Paralegals in its landlord/tenant practice, while also maintaining a reduced litigation practice.
Legal interns and Volunteers
The Safety Net Project offers internships and volunteer opportunities at our Lower Manhattan offices on a rolling basis. We welcome law students, prospective legal fellows, and legal volunteers who would like to help further our efforts to minimize evictions and ensure tenants obtain necessary repairs to their buildings and apartments.
